[This came out of nowhere, so forgive Hiroki for staring for a moment before answering.]

Of course. [Bart, was much more of a stickler for decorum than Hiroki was...among other differences between them.]

[Well, that went more easily than she expected.]

I was just wondering, because sometimes it seems as if you do not know.

Well, I do know. It's just...it's complicated.

Why is it complicated?

Because I am Hiroki Yuu, but at the same time...I remember being Bart Belbania. I remember growing up and learning the sword. I remember Glen and Rainesburg as clearly as if I had lived it.

I know I am not Bart. [She smiles a little wryly.] For one, he is a lot more serious than I am.

[The smile falls and she sighs.]

But I have inherited his regrets.

Remembering does not make you Bart and those regrets, if Bart has died...

They should die with him. They should not be passed to you.

But they have.

[She wasn't entirely sure if Bart would have contradicted the princess, but in some ways, Veronica wasn't just the princess to Hiroki. On some level, she also sees a bit of Harusumi in her (even though it was the opposite wasn't it? Not so much seeing Harusumi in Veronica as much as there was so much of Veronica in Harusumi.)

And Hiroki was herself as well as Bart.]

And I cannot move on unless I lay them to rest.

And how long will that take?

...I don't know. But we're all working to remember more of the past so hopefully not long.

[It's not that she doesn't like macarons so much as she doesn't trust the Landlord as far as she could throw him. Also, when she had spotted a box of macarons on the door step she'd basically kicked into the nearest bush without even opening it (she wasn't taking any chances after the last mysterious package she opened left her thinking she was Bart).

It's unknown what she actually does with the macaron, but when Yoshitake opens the fridge later, it's gone and there's another box with his name written on it left behind.
